TCS calculator, Section 206C

This tool calculates the tax collected at source on specified transactions, with the rate and threshold for each category. It is used by sellers who collect tax and buyers who pay it. You need to enter the amount of the sale or receipt and the category of the transaction, and the result shows the rate, the TCS amount and the amount after collection.

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter the amount of the sale or receipt and the category of the transaction.
  2. Choose the category and the buyer status to match your situation.
  3. Read the rate, the TCS amount and the amount after collection in the result.

A higher rate applies without a PAN; the TCS shows in Form 26AS and can be claimed as credit.

The result is an estimate for the figures you enter. It is not a filed return, a certificate or professional advice. Rates, thresholds and section numbers change with each Finance Act, and the Income-tax Act, 2025 applies from 1 April 2026 with new section and form numbers.
